After a year of shared reading, Trinity Reads is excited to bring Waubgeshig Rice – the acclaimed author of our inaugural Trinity Reads title, Moon of the Crusted Snow – to wrap up the academic year with our campus community. In partnership with the Graham Library, the Indigenous Literatures Lab and First Nations House, we will host Waub for a special author talk on March 25 in Seeley Hall.

Waubgeshig Rice will take the stage for Looking Back to Look Forward: The Origins of Moon of the Crusted Snow, discussing the actual historical events that inspired his bestselling novel Moon of the Crusted Snow, and how Anishinaabe culture and history inspire his vision for the future. He’ll share the research and development process behind the novel and its sequel, Moon of the Turning Leaves.
