So Long, Queen Street West: The Photos

Hate to drop the c-bomb (cliché - get your minds out of the gutter!), but it honestly only feels like yesterday that I made this post (scroll to bottom). But the time has come to uproot and replant once again. I am leaving my beloved Queen/Bathurst neighbourhood for much quieter and domestic surroundings in more residential Toronto. This past year has flown by; albeit with very eventful and exciting developments. And a hell of a lot of fun at the same time. It's kind of bizarre when you think about it - getting attached to a dingy, rank intersection in a massive downtown metropolis. But this has always been my favourite part of town, and although I will miss living here, I'm excited to move on. And hey, it's just a streetcar ride away, so I'll be back with bells on. Anyway, here are some pics I shot recently of Toronto's "Rock n' Roll district".

The gate to Trinity-Bellwoods park

Queen/University

Where the kids come to play...

Urban stacks

The insanity that is Queen/Bay

Queen/Spadina - with the barrage of cars, pedestrians, bikes, and streetcars that pass through here each day, it's a miracle so few people are killed

Ahhh the Queen West patio life...

Local artwork

I don't know what they sell here, but it must be the most righteous store in the world

I can't believe I've been living down here for a year and I just found this store right around the corner!

Stay tuned y'all for the "Words" portion of this fond farewell...
